Kiosk idea sketches (Jan. 19-20, 2010)

Earlier portal pages were difficult had an awkward layout of buttons, this attempts to clarify this. note: we have decided to scrap the "Today at the DIA and upcoming events" page.

Tries to "flatten" the interaction by adding more information on one page, and putting less clicks between interactions for more information.

Re-exploring a layout that we scrapped earlier, chiefly for scalability issues. Now we have a better idea of how many themes there are, this could work again. At the bottom, the text description of the theme the text description would appear after the user selects one theme. Theme images would fade in and out slowly, at random, to cycle through available theme images.

Exploring another level of information in between theme selection and galleries. The image on the right has theme pictures and description.
