  • We’re going to look at some of the website pages and other things you have done online and talk about what you like, what you might want to change, and new things you might want to do

We are going to go through all the things you are doing online at BEING. We’re going to talk about the following things:

~ Websites that you like that aren’t BEING sites

1. BEINGHome: SHOP (5-10 min) - Dana

  • Are you all familiar with the BEING Shop?
    • Do you look at it much? What do you do when you’re on the Shop?
    • What do you like most about it? 
  • Is there anything else you’d like to have or be able to do in the shop? 
  • Is there anything you would remove (i.e. what’s not useful)?
  • What do you want others to be able to see and do when they go to the shop E.g. I want people to be able to purchase my art. Or e.g. I want people to know more about me
  • What about having an in-person shop? A pop-up shop? Have you ever done that at BEING before?

2. Social Media: Instagram and Facebook (10 min) - Caren

    • Are you all familiar with BEING’s Instagram and Facebook pages?
    • Do you look at them much? What do you usually look at or look for?
      • If you don’t use them, why not?
      • What do you like most about them? 
  • E.g. Using Instagram stories to show artists and work, shop
  • Is there anything else you’d like to see there? E.g. I want to be able to find out what other artists are working on at the moment; remind me of upcoming events
  • Is there anything you would remove (i.e. what’s not useful)?
  • What do you want others to be able to see or do on BEING social media? E.g. I want people to be able to purchase my art. Or I want people to know more about me

    • Are you familiar with the artist pages? [If not] let’s take a moment to look at them [open artists pages]
    • What about the artist pages is good? What do you like best about them? 
    • Is there anything else you would like to see on these pages? E.g. I want to be able to find out what other artists are working on at the moment.
  • Do you want to add more information to the page, for example, a link to your SHOP page, or a SPEAK podcast you helped make, or other things?
  • Is there anything you would remove (i.e. what’s not useful)?
  • What do you want people outside of BEING to be able to see on these pages? What do you want them to know? E.g. I want people to be able to purchase my art. Or e.g. I want people to know more about me


5. BEINGHome: CLICK (magazine) & SPEAK (podcast) (10 min) - Caren

  • Is everyone familiar with the CLICK magazine and the SPEAK podcast?
  • What do you like best about them?
  • Some of you told us in the last workshop that you liked learning new skills about how to create a podcast or an online magazine
  • What is it about the process of creating them that you like? 
    • Do you want to do more of that?
    • Do you want to do anything differently?
  • What do you want other people, outside of BEING, to think about when they look at CLICK or listen to SPEAK? What do you want them to know?
  • Is there anything (else) you want to include in CLICK or SPEAK? 
  • Is there anything you would do differently (i.e. what’s not useful)?
  • Are there different ways to make CLICK or SPEAK?
    • Eg. last workshop the idea of holding a printed version of CLICK came up
