...
- Would tap on Exhibitions
- Would choose one of the current exhibitions, because she's planning to go this week
- Chose an exhibition based on interest in title text
- Unclear about what "Event today" means--assumes perhaps there are specific events for today?
...
- Tapped on an exhibition ("Simple Montreal", since that's the only one we have available)
- Assumes if she taps on the first arrow (from "About") that she'd get a map of the exhibition, because the arrow is next to the words "3rd Floor"
- On content from the main exhibition page:
- Expect to get more information about what's in the exhibition, and not about Montreal (which is what the current description text has)
- From the description text, she's unclear about what's actually in the exhibition: pictures? movies? artifacts?
- On Catalog: "This is good"
- Asks, But why would I want to go to the museum when I can see all the objects?
- On first screen after Catalog (list of themes), unclear and confused about where the objects are--or are they pictures?
- Would tap on one to dig deeper ("Surviving Winter")
- Now clear--sees the list of objects
- Assumes there's a scrollbar somewhere to scroll down
- On finding even more information: wouldn't need to search for stuff on other websites, because museums are good at providing the necessary information
- Guestbook looks interesting-would read that (read four comments)-wouldn't tap to read/see more comments
...
- Would want to know more about the artists(/creators), if there are any; an artist's
- Would want to know what exhibitions were most visited last week
In-museum scenario
Task: How would you go about learning more about an object you've come across that you're interested in?
- Remembers seeing an Object Code Entry option on main screen
- Tapped Object Code Entry, entered code
- Unclear about whether she needs to "submit" somehow
- On Artifact View,
- Assumes tapping "Collect" would add it to My Collection, which she remembers seeing off the home page
- Assumes tapping on "Send" would ask her for an email, to send to friends or to herself (though she only remembers her family's and close friends email addresses offhand)
- Tapped on the "+" of description, read it quickly, and tapped "-" to collapse
- Tapped on "Audio/Video", chose a video, expects video to come up and take over the full screen
- Video is nice, but unsure about how useful it would be in a noisy place
- On tags: confused as to what tags are--expecting maybe photos by other visitors? (after seeing the tags panel: still doesn't get it, and would go back to the rest of the screen)
- Would spend time leaving comments
- Would take her time reading things, and if really interested in the object, would go to Related Objects, and expect to see other objects there
- On left-right arrows on the picture: expects it to take her to the object next to it
Task: What would you do to remember an object for the future?
- Would use "Collect" or "Send", probably "Collect", because she wouldn't want to have separate emails for each of the objects
- Would want to collect all the objects, and then lump send them in one email
Task: How would you go about seeing a bigger picture of this object?
- Zooming? Wouldn't need to because she's in front of the object
