Faraday's Law (h1)
Scene Summary (h2)
Faraday's Law is an interactive sim. It changes as you play with it.
(If single coil) The play area has a light bulb circuit with a 4 loop coil.
(If both coils) The play area has a light bulb circuit with a 2 loop coil and a 4 loop coil.
There is a , and a moveable bar magnet in the Play Area. The circuit has checkboxes . There are controls that change what is connected to it. There is also a button to flip the circuit, flip the bar magnet, and reset the sim.
Move the magnet to play.
Play Area (h2)
Light Bulb Circuit (h3)
(If single just 4 loop coil attached) The
In circuit are a light bulb circuit has a and 4 loop coil connected. The coil is open on the left and right , allowing - the bar magnet to can pass through.
(If both coils) The light bulb circuit has a 2 loop and 4 loop coil connected. Both 2 loop or volt meter attached)
In circuit are a:
- 4 loop coil
- 2 loop coil (if enabled)
- Volt meter (if enabled)
The coils are open on the left and right , allowing - the bar magnet to pass through.
(If volt meter showing) A volt meter attached is also attached to the circuit.
(If field lines visible and single coil) From the magnet's position, a[field strength]
magnetic field is passing through the 4 loop coil.
(If field lines visible and both coils) From the magnet's position, a[field strength]
magnetic field is passing through the 4 loop coil, and a [field strength]
magnetic field is passing through the 2 loop coil.Static)
Controls:
- Checkbox: Connect volt meter to circuit
- Checkbox: Show field
- Checkbox: Add 2 loop coil to circuit
Magnet (h3)
(If just 4 loop coil attached)
The bar magnet is at the [ location ]
of the Play Area.
(If single 2 loop coil attached)
The bar magnet is:
[
location ]
- of the Play Area
[proximity]
to the 4
- loop coil
- .
[proximity]
to the 2
- loop coil.
(if field lines hidden) The magnet has two magnetic poles: Magnet polarity:
- North on the
[left / right]
- South on the
[right / left]
.
Button: flip magnet (Help text: "Flip North and South poles")
(
ifIf field lines visible)
The magneticField Lines (h3)
Magnetic field lines are going go around from North pole end on [right / left / right]
end side of magnet, to South pole end on [left / right / left]
end side of magnet.Button: flip magnet
(If just 4 loop coil attached)
From the magnet's position, a[field strength]
magnetic field is passing through the 4 loop coil.
(If 2 loop coil attached)
The magnet field strength is:
[field strength]
at the 4 loop coil.[field strength]
at the 2 loop coil.
