Test 1: Double ClickPlay

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to one of the specified URLsURL
  2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
  3. Using the mouse, double click one of the words
  Expected ResultsThe entire word should be selected
  1. Activate the play button
• Expected Results
  • The play button should change to a pause button
  • The page should be self voiced from the top of the page through to the end
  • As words are self voiced, they are highlighted
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 2: Triple ClickPause

• Procedure

  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
  3. Edit the text using only alphabetic characters (a - z, A-Z)
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text field
• Expected Results
• The content of the inline edit field should be changed to the new value
An undo control should appear next to the inline edit field
1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
3. Using the mouse, triple click inside the inline edit field
• Expected Results
  • All of the text in the inline edit field should be selected
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 3: Edit With Letters

• 1. Activate the play button
  2. As the self voicing is reading the content, activate the pause button
• Expected Results
  • The play button should change to a pause button when self voicing starts
  • The page should be self voiced from the top of the page through to the end
  • As words are self voiced, they are highlighted
  • After the pause button is activated, it should change to a play button
  • The self voicing should stop
  • The last highlighted word should remain highlighted
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 4: Edit With Numbers3: Play selection

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
  3. Edit the text using only numbers (0-9)
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text fieldSelect a range of text
  5. Activate the play bubble
• Expected Results
  • The content of the inline edit field text should be changed to the new value
  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit field
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 5: Edit With Symbols

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
  3. Edit the text using only punctuation and other such symbols (e.g. '/', '$' )
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text field
• Expected Results
  • The content of the inline edit field should be changed to the new value
  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit field

  3. Edit the text using only non-standard characters and symbols (see examples here: http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/miscellaneous_symbols.html)
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text fieldSelect a range of text
  5. Activate the play bubble
  6. As the self voicing is reading the selection, activate the stop bubble

  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit field

Test 7: Edit With Characters Separated By Spaces

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, click one of the inline edit fields
  3. Edit the text by typing in some number of characters separated by spaces.
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text field
• Expected Results
  • The content of the inline edit field should be changed to the new value
  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit fieldselected
  • A play bubble should appear over the start of the selection
  • After activating the play bubble, it should turn into a stop bubble
  • The selected texts should be self voiced
  • After activating the stop bubble, it should turn into a play bubble
  • The self voicing should stop

  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text fieldActivate the play button
  5. Before any self voicing starts, activate the pause button
  6. Activate the play button again
• Expected Results
  • The content state of the inline edit field should be a greyed invitation text saying "Edit this"An undo control should appear next to the inline edit fieldplay button should switch between play and pause as expected
  • The self voicing should start from the top of the page and read all of the expected content
  • All words should be highlighted as they are self voiced
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 2: Many Characters (Not Separated)Self voice entire page

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, select click one of the inline editable texts
  3. Edit the text with a large number (e.g. 1000 characters) of characters without any gaps between ( generator )
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text fieldActivate the play button
  5. Let the self voicing read through all expected content
  6. Activate the play button again
• Expected Results
  • The content of the inline edit field should be changed to the new value
  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit field
• Stop Test
  • Refresh the browser to return the page to its initial state

Test 3: Many Characters (Separated)

• Procedure
  1. Open the browser and navigate to the specified URL
  2. Using the mouse, select click one of the inline editable texts
  3. Edit the text with a large number (e.g. 1000 characters) of characters with gaps between ( generator )
  4. Using the mouse, click on a blank spot outside of the editable text field
• Expected Results
  • The content of the inline edit field should be changed to the new value
  • An undo control should appear next to the inline edit fieldplay button should change to a pause button when self voicing starts
  • The self voicing should start from the top of the page and read all of the expected content
  • All words should be highlighted as they are self voice
  • After reading through all of the expected content, the pause button should turn into a play button
  • After re-activating the play button, self voicing should start from the top again.
