[09:33:23 EST(-0500)] <boyan> michelled: I have a pretty strange problem
[09:33:51 EST(-0500)] <boyan> i'm trying to implement the reordering of thumbnails
[09:34:15 EST(-0500)] <boyan> and it turns out the Renderer doesn't work together with jquery.keyboard-a11y.js
[09:34:39 EST(-0500)] <boyan> if I get the code from the repository that works
[09:34:49 EST(-0500)] <boyan> and the only change I make is include that script
[09:34:58 EST(-0500)] <boyan> the markup is not rendered anymore
[09:48:42 EST(-0500)] <michelled> that is very strange boyan
[09:48:46 EST(-0500)] <boyan> never mind, managed to fix it with the help of sveto
[09:48:53 EST(-0500)] <boyan> a js file was not included
[09:48:54 EST(-0500)] <michelled> cool (smile)
[09:49:09 EST(-0500)] <boyan> jquery.delegate.js was required
[09:49:28 EST(-0500)] <boyan> and that is only if you use the renderer
[09:52:31 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> hello all, I have problems building CouchDB from source (couldn't find a binary package). So the error I'm getting is at erlang compilation stage and states: "Compiler function compile:compile/3 failed:", followed by more cryptic details... Does anyone had such problem with CouchDB?
[09:53:28 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> I downloaded the latest version 5.6.5 of erlang, but the only difference is that the failing erlang file changed...
[09:53:29 EST(-0500)] <michelled> yura, did you have that problem? ^
[09:55:22 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: are you trying to build it in windows?
[09:55:44 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: no, I'm using Linux
[09:55:58 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: ok, one sec, ill check what version i have
[10:00:16 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: were you downloading the R13B02-1 version ?
[10:00:40 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: yes, the same one
[10:01:50 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: couchdb version - 0.9.1
[10:03:34 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: let me do the whole process from scratch and see if i succeed
[10:04:29 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: ok, I can also give you access to my machine to look at the error
[10:09:26 EST(-0500)] <jamon> michelled, Justin_o, ssh keys will make everything "just work": http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/l-keyc.html
[10:09:58 EST(-0500)] <michelled> ok, good to know for next time
[10:10:22 EST(-0500)] <jamon> michelled: having an ssh key will make remembering multiple passwords a thing of the past (smile)
[10:12:05 EST(-0500)] <michelled> (smile)
[10:16:47 EST(-0500)] * jimeng (n=jimeng@adsl-68-79-92-158.dsl.sfldmi.ameritech.net) has left #fluid-work
[10:29:29 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: now I can't even build erlang (smile), need to look into that
[10:30:58 EST(-0500)] <jamon> sveto__: which distribution?
[10:31:23 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> jamon: Mandriva 2009
[10:31:36 EST(-0500)] <jamon> ah they released recently? cool
[10:32:45 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yes, but I'm using the previous version (smile)
[10:39:09 EST(-0500)] <jamon> sveto__: i'd try using native mandriva erlang rpms first: http://riksun.riken.go.jp/pub/pub/Linux/mandrake/official/2009.1/x86_64/media/contrib/release/
[10:39:21 EST(-0500)] <jamon> sveto__: that way you eliminate that as the cause of the couchdb compile error
[10:41:18 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> jamon: unfortunately I've tried that already... I've found an rpm for couch db and now I'm trying to satisfy its dependency, but I don't know if that will work
[10:41:30 EST(-0500)] * athena (n=athena@adsl-75-58-127-15.dsl.wlfrct.sbcglobal.net) has joined #fluid-work
[10:42:45 EST(-0500)] <jamon> sveto__: ah, that makes sense
[10:43:26 EST(-0500)] * joan (n=jgarci@196.Red-217-126-6.staticIP.rima-tde.net) has joined #fluid-work
[10:43:58 EST(-0500)] <jamon> i haven't used mandriva since about 10.1, been a while (tongue)

[11:32:00 EST(-0500)] <yura> hi sveto__, so i tried building with the latest couchdb-0.10.0 and erland V5.7.3 from R13B02-1. i did have to add some extra dependencies and it built. the only thing that didn't work out was the wx for erland which should not be necessary anyways
[11:32:29 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: I also updated http://bit-rattle.blogspot.com/2009/07/time-to-relax-with-couchdb-lucene.html so you can check for changes, it should be up to date
[11:32:54 EST(-0500)] <yura> only when installing dependencies , do not install erlang if you are planning on building from source
[11:45:48 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: I tryed the use your version of couchdb and for now it is compiling without errors, hopefully it will build at the end
[11:46:29 EST(-0500)] <yura> sveto__: let me know (smile)
[11:53:30 EST(-0500)] <boyan> michelled: I commited my code and sent out an e-mail to you and fluid-work
[11:54:00 EST(-0500)] <boyan> since it's a bit late here, i'm done for today, any help on that by Monday will be great
[11:54:15 EST(-0500)] <Justin_o> boyan: michelled just stepped out for lunch, but she should see your e-mail
[11:54:49 EST(-0500)] <boyan> Justin_o: ok, thanks

[11:59:53 EST(-0500)] * colinclark (n=colin@12.157.240.3) has joined #fluid-work
[12:02:57 EST(-0500)] <sveto__> yura: it compiled fine, but it's crashing at boot... seems some function is missing (undefined symbol), maybe some of my libraries are not up to date
