fluid-work IRC Logs-2012-12-07

[09:10:45 CST(-0600)] <jhung> alexn1: Do you know the nature of this issue? Does it happen across all browsers? http://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-4697

[09:11:45 CST(-0600)] <yura1> fyi: http://shop.oreilly.com/category/deals/hd-javascript.do?code=HDJVS&imm_mid=09d33a&cmp=em-npa-books-videos-holiday-javascript-direct-split-control

[09:12:44 CST(-0600)] <alexn1> no idea jhung. This issue related to videoPlayer embedded into OER Commons. I do not have much experience on this integration. Also, OER Commons has changed a lot since April 13th when the JIRA was created as well as VideoPlayer (especially VideoPlayer). This issue might not be the case anymore.

[09:13:47 CST(-0600)] <jhung> Okay. Is there any way to find out of this is still a problem because it sounds serious, but the bug lacks details. Do you know who may be able to help alexn1?

[09:16:42 CST(-0600)] <alexn1> jhung: I'm not sure but probably people who are working on VideoPlayer would be the best help - Michelle or Anastasia. Last time we tried to make videoPlayer work with OER Commons we had to ask Yura and Cindy to integrate these 2 and it took couple days. All I'm saying that to find out quickly if the issue is still the case might be a bit of a complicated task (I think) and requires an attempt to integrate the latest videoPlayer into the late

[13:47:19 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> colinclark: hey hows it going

[13:50:38 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> very glad to not be going down this road alone

[13:52:20 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> Just wrapping my head around Transfer Functions at the moment

[13:55:42 CST(-0600)] <colinclark> cool

[13:55:46 CST(-0600)] <colinclark> what have you learned so far?

[13:56:51 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> Well technically I should be done the book

[13:57:01 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> but what I have actualy injested and understood

[13:57:06 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> the difference between FIR and IIR

[13:57:45 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> how to translate functions to direct-form graphs

[13:58:08 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> how to calculate what a filter will do to an impulse / signal by hand

[13:58:57 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> how to figure out if a filter is linear / time invariant

[13:59:26 CST(-0600)] <thealphanerd> today I'm going to be reading / working on Z-transform and how to figure out and work with transfer functions
