(PGA) Resources Year 1

Location ontologies: RFC 4480 and 4589. These both contain lists of types of locations (e.g., 'restaurant', 'office'), pertinent to the discussion at the first SME meeting.

Accessible Portable Item Protocol (APIP): http://www.imsglobal.org/apip/index.html A list of the APIP preferences is displayed (in an image) on the intro page. The list can also be found in HTML at http://www.imsglobal.org/apip/apipv1p0cf/APIPv1p0_PNP_v1p0cf.html. Not that not all preference types have preferences developed yet. "Language learner," "Cognitive guidance," and "Scaffolding" are placeholders right now.

"Consideration" as separate from "evaluation" or "assessment". There was a conversation on QIAT ~10/2012 about the workflow for an AT intervention (perhaps only in the US). Staff are expected to first "consider" whether an evaluation is called for, in order to avoid unnecessary evaluation costs. We may want to embed this distinction in a tool. (Alternately, we may want to expand it to represent that every student gets a consideration of what personalized learning accommodation they would benefit from.)
