[10:32:13 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Let's do our standup here
[10:32:53 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Justin's just getting setup on IRC, and erinyu's on her way
[10:33:04 CDT(-0500)] * erin (~erin@142.150.154.185) has joined #fluid-work
[10:33:23 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Spent most of last week working on CFI gathering quotes. Did spend a little time styling the toolbar for Decapod. Now going to look into getting an export spinner in place.
[10:33:36 CDT(-0500)] * justin_o (~justin@142.150.154.138) has joined #fluid-work
[10:34:58 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> jhung: Export spinner in place for Capture?
[10:35:01 CDT(-0500)] <erin> i am working on the dimensions sub-fields wireframes. i've gotten feedback from the developers, megan, angela, and james, and i'm iterating on it. the wireframes are on the bottom of this page: http://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/collectionspace/Wireframes+-+Repeated+Fields i have a better idea though, and will update this afternoon - stay tuned!
[10:36:01 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> colinclark: An export spinner to appear inside the Capture interface.
[10:36:33 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> jhung: Right. Also in the export page. Just wondering which one you were working on first. That's good.
[10:37:19 CDT(-0500)] <jameswy> I've been and will be: catching up on a week's worth of emails, getting my hands into the calibration markup and styling (cameraMessage.html/css specifically), and working on the design section of the Decapod report. I also finished writing up notes from the Decapod design walkthrough with Karl Fogel, and am just waiting on his permission to post them up to the wiki. Doing another Decapod design walkthrough with Jenifer Bartle tomorrow.
[10:37:21 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Colinclark: I'm not working on the Export page just yet since that may fall off the table. Want to minimum implementation which is the spinner for the Capture UI.
[10:37:42 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> For me, CFI cat herding for most of last week, which I think went well. Got some one-on-one time with the Decapod server (or is that one-on-two?), adding the "supported cameras" feature to the /cameras service. Midway through it, want to get it into Google Code as soon as possible.
[10:37:59 CDT(-0500)] <anastasiac> CSpace released 0.8 last week (woohoo!). Getting started on next steps. First focus will be roles and permissions, which will take advantage of the work Bosmon is doing in the FLUID-3658 branch, with renderer expanders. Also catching up on just what megan and kasper are prioritizing for the 1.0alpha release (scheduled for end of August).
[10:38:07 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> My next step is to get Justin's excellent Web tests for the server working with the real server, so that I can ensure I haven't broken anything in my refactoring.
[10:38:11 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> jhung: Makes sense
[10:38:14 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> I'm working the decapod calibration pages. This morning I've added unit tests for the subcomponents (supportedCameras and progressMessage). Later I'll be syncing up with Colin in regards to the model that we'll be using and then updating the components as needed. I'll also be talking with colin about the Robot work. If all goes well I hope to start in on work on the actual camera setup page today, if not I should be starting that tomorrow.
[10:38:42 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> anastasiac: Which expanders in particular?
[10:38:59 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Congrats on the 0.8 release, btw, yura, erin, and anastasiac
[10:39:00 CDT(-0500)] <anastasiac> colinclark: the main requirement for roles/permissions is for radio buttings
[10:39:04 CDT(-0500)] <anastasiac> buttons
[10:39:10 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> ok
[10:39:14 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> colinclark, jhung, jameswy: are we still going to have dummy start page for book creation?
[10:39:32 CDT(-0500)] <erin> colinclark: thank you! =)
[10:39:46 CDT(-0500)] <yura> working on one of the tasks for this week's collectionspace ui iteration, have a patch for the problem that we had with failing tests in testswarm. Now looking at the IE issue that we have. Looking forward to chatting with Bosmon in regards to the above mentioned expanders work in infusion, since right now the working version uses a build from the branch
[10:40:12 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> yura: What was up with the failing swarm tests? Glad you have a fix!
[10:40:16 CDT(-0500)] <anastasiac> I'll also be reviewing and committing yura's patches
[10:40:19 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> justin_o: Yes for now.
[10:40:30 CDT(-0500)] <anastasiac> erin, looking forward to seeing your new ideas for repeatable subgroups
[10:40:37 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> justin_o: I don't think we have time to replace it with the new design in this cycle.
[10:41:09 CDT(-0500)] <yura> yes, we had them setup to use local data , but the testswarm is deployed on the server so some of the setup functionality that we had didnt work
[10:42:02 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> jhung: okay... will you and jameswy be creating that page?
[10:42:02 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Did we get everyone?
[10:42:13 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Yep, I think so
[10:43:18 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> yura: I'd love to see your patch. Sounds interesting
[10:43:26 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> justin_o: I don't think there is anything to create. We'll just leave it as it was in Decapod 0.3
[10:43:38 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> jhung: oh i see...
[10:43:41 CDT(-0500)] <yura> colinclark: sure it's the patch attached to CSAPCE-2296
[10:43:42 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Maybe I'm confused?
[10:45:11 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> jhung: i think i am
[10:45:33 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> I didn't know there was a start page for Decapod 0.3
[10:46:03 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> ok. I am confused. I thought you were talking about the dummy placeholders in 0.3
[10:46:59 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> The start page I don't think is necessary unless there's a technical reason to have it.
[10:55:37 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> There are dummy placeholders in 0.3?
[10:55:57 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> jhung: ^
[10:56:56 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> colinclark: yes, for the left and right pages in the thumbnail when you start a new book. It's pretty much the only time you see them.
[10:57:28 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Ok, so, just so I understand...
[10:57:50 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Currently, when you go to the Decapod server, you get redirected to the capture page right away
[10:58:03 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> yes.
[10:58:17 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> And on that capture page, by default, you see a little thumbnail saying something to the affect of "no images yet"
[10:58:31 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> And then, basically, the only thing you can do is capture an image
[10:58:37 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> yes
[10:58:47 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> So justin_o was asking if there would be some kind of new book management page for 0.4
[10:59:08 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> The idea had been floated at one point to create a page that mocked up the book management page, but provided only a link to start a new book
[10:59:13 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Or something to that effect
[10:59:19 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Is that right?
[10:59:29 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Yes. I remember that.
[11:00:08 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> But given the fact the book management wireframes aren't complete and there isn't too much time, I think we can afford not to have that starting page.
[11:00:16 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Ok, cool
[11:00:16 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Unless there's a reason to have it in.
[11:00:46 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> Forcing a user to click a link to start then just to click capture seems a bit tedious.
[11:00:46 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> Ok, so no dummy book management page for 0.4
[11:00:51 CDT(-0500)] <colinclark> I agree
[11:01:01 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> cool.
[11:02:52 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> colinclark, jhung: I suppose the start page should be the cameraMessage page then
[11:04:01 CDT(-0500)] <jhung> justin_o: Yes. I think so.
[11:04:11 CDT(-0500)] <justin_o> jhung: okay thanks
