[13:01:56 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> silly to ask a question right before stand up, but do we have a guid generator somewhere in our code?
[13:02:02 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> GUID
[13:19:52 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> the renderer generates ids
[13:26:22 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> colin pointed me to fluid.allocateSimpleId()
[13:28:46 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> another problem! I'm trying to use the "aria-labelledby" attribute, there doesn't seem to be specific support for that in jARIA
[13:30:18 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> ecochran: There actually is...
[13:30:33 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> but you should use the ARIA support built into jQuery UI at this point, rather than jARIA.
[13:30:39 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> So using jQuery UI, you'd just do this:
[13:31:02 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> $(myThing).attr("aria-labelledby", id);
[13:32:05 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> colinclark: great, that was what I was doing, but I didn't know it would do the right thing!
[13:32:19 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> yep, totally
[13:32:21 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> as of UI 1.7
[13:32:35 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> colinclark: should we be scrubbing our code of the jARIA specific calls?
[13:32:57 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> ecochran: Yep, there's a JIRA for it. I remember posting it to the list as a cool and easy one to fix, but no one picked it up.
[13:33:04 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> I expect it should be a blocker for 1.0
[13:33:40 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> colinclark: Thanks for the info... I'll take care of Uploader... now to pay attention to Fish (tongue)
[13:33:49 EDT(-0400)] <colinclark> (wink)
[13:36:38 EDT(-0400)] <athena> will jARIA.js continue to be a dependency?
[14:28:03 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> no, athena, we'll drop jARIA.js as soon as we scrub the code
[14:28:08 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> details, details ...
[14:28:11 EDT(-0400)] <athena> cool (smile)
[14:28:25 EDT(-0400)] <athena> dependencies--;
[14:28:35 EDT(-0400)] <athena> though we're not really doing too badly on download size
[14:29:14 EDT(-0400)] <athena> when i was working with colin's twitter thing i tried out the maven compressor plugin's ability to aggregate files - seems to work pretty well, too
[14:35:24 EDT(-0400)] <jessm> michelled: ping
[14:42:37 EDT(-0400)] <jessm> is there no fish?
[14:44:03 EDT(-0400)] * jessm goes back to the rubber chicken
[14:53:37 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> jessm: fish is back with fish food
[14:53:46 EDT(-0400)] <jessm> ah
[14:53:50 EDT(-0400)] <jessm> wanna reflect still?
[14:53:56 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> yes
[14:54:12 EDT(-0400)] <jessm> wanna eat fish food and then reflect? ping me when you're ready
[14:54:44 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> sure

[16:49:12 EDT(-0400)] <Justin_o> michelled, fj4000, anastasiac, colinclark, ecochran, etc: I've been testing the update to jQuery 1.3.2 and an update to the qUnit test runner.... i've only had a chance to test it in Mac so far and it only breaks unit test.... would you like me to commit it now and finish testing tomorrow so that you can keep working with the latest version of jQuery now... or wait till after I test on windows tomorrow?
[16:51:07 EDT(-0400)] <michelled> I'm happy with it if it's just the visibility test in table of contents
[17:08:08 EDT(-0400)] * EricDalquist (n=EricDalq@adsl-76-208-69-153.dsl.mdsnwi.sbcglobal.net) has joined #fluid-work
[17:13:41 EDT(-0400)] <Justin_o> michelled: that's all i've found. so far at least
[17:26:59 EDT(-0400)] <ecochran> Justin_o: please go ahead and commit. I like these changes to drop early and then we can be part of the team that finds the problems!
[17:27:16 EDT(-0400)] <Justin_o> ecochran: thanks
[17:30:45 EDT(-0400)] <Justin_o> I have committed the update to jQuery 1.3.2
