Using the computer at home

  • Uses the computer to read the newspaper, communicate with family, search information about cities, watch TV programs and online banking.
  • She feels comfortable with all the software she uses.
  • Reads e-books at the tablet, using iBooks. Likes reading on the tablet screen. Has enlarged the original type size because it was too small.

Transition to observation mode

Wikipedia observation

  • At a first glance, she says "I should read it several times to understand". Says the language is too technical. The language should be simpler
  • Says she can read the text now, but in a while it would be annoying. I'd use the zoom in to enlarge the text
  • If I had to read the whole article, I'd print it. If I must read it on screen, I prefer the tablet rather than the computer.

Online newspaper

She selects El País, a spanish newspaper.

  • She doesn't have any preference between the paper or the online version.
  • She prefers reading the newspaper on the computer, because with a touch screen (tablet) she sometimes taps accidentally in the wrong option and enters in an unexpected page.

Favorite website

She selects Facebook as the favorite site.

  • Feels comfortable using Facebook. Only the adds are annoying.
