August 23, 2018 - Platform Coop - Meeting Notes SEWA / IDRC

  • 2-day co-design sessions for each of: 

    • beauty services coop

      • customer-facing app fairly straightforward, lots of examples out there

      • want more the back-end app for workers

    • members of federation

      • want governance / information dissemination / marketplace

      • probably first day more general and a larger group

      • second day smaller, more focused, concrete

  • last week September not good now - Namya attending a conference

  • Early Oct not good for Michelle and Dana due to DEEP conference in Toronto

  • having a website is important for beauty coop

    • a very simple wordpress site for now?

    • how to host it?

    • IDRC can look at domain name etc

  • discussed possible dates for co-design and festival/holiday dates in India

  • week of Nov 12 or Nov 19 might be best

  • we will send an idea of what we want to do in co-design sessions to Namya

  • look at what we did for Bodies in Translation project

  • then Namya can help us to determine how to structure the sessions best

  • don't want to bring too much content or concrete ideas in, as women will likely just say - yes, ok, you know best

  • want to solicit their ideas

  • meet again next Thursday same time
