Background

The Accessible Wordpress theme (or 'WP-a11y Theme') was created to address a need for an accessible Wordpress theme for the BIG IDeA website, but has since grown to address a broader need.

History 

The WP-a11y theme was forked from the Underscores development theme and was modified to use Zurb Foundation and optimized for our use (i.e. some unused PHP pages were removed, delete unneeded divs etc.). The latest version of the theme can be found here in github: https://github.com/jhung/wp-a11y-theme/tree/foundation
