Existing Educational Coding Tool Research
The Coding to Learn and Create project has been exploring different educational coding tools and examining them with an inclusion lens: How will they work for learners who have complex physical, cognitive, and learning disabilities? What are their best features and biggest issues for these students? What resources or supports are available?
So far, we've looked into several different hardware coding tools, including Dash and Dot, Cubetto, and Sphero—along with related software such as Blockly and Scratch. Reports and informal notes of this research are linked below. Please feel free to contribute other research here, too.
